Question.
Is this a photo of a beautiful sunrise, or is it a comment on congestion into Exeter during rush hour?
Or is it both?
Either way, if any public transport providers would like to use this in their advertising, please feel free to drop me a line on Twitter.
I think you have captured both aspects in that photo. The skyline is stunning. #mysundayphoto
I suppose it depends which direction you are travelling. Facing the traffic tailback or towards the open road and the sunrise.
Either way its a great photo 😀
Oh that sunrise is beautiful. It’s a shame the traffic is going the wrong way to be able to admire it.
Yep, this looks spookily similar to my daily commute in to Bracknell …
I love the lighting in this, what a stunning photo, despite the queue of traffic! Good old Exeter, it really has outgrown its road system.
Yes you are right, it is indeed a glorious sunrise… but oh no that traffic, no bodies idea of fun!
I don’t think a traffic jam has ever looked so beautiful. Gorgeous capture.
More a comment on over-reliance on cars. Oddly, on my blog I have a timed shutter-release image in the dark during a Friday night of the M25. Looked kinda nice in the SUrrey Hills, but so many cars. #MySundayPhoto
Hi Andy, the sky is quite beautiful! I grew up in a house facing Haldon hill, but could not recall for the life of me where the sun rose and set over Exeter… Your photo also reminds me of what I don’t miss. Even in summer we don’t see traffic jams like that here.
xx
The sunrise and sky caught my eye first rather than the traffic.
I could certainly think of worse views while stuck in traffic
Thank you for linking up
I think it’s probably super frustrating to be sat in it but that sunset is just beautiful!
The slow traffic is familiar but I’ve rarely had a wondrous sky like that to look at.
I thought it was a river until I took a second glance! Frustrating jam whatever the weather but lovely pic. #mysundayphoto
Wouldn’t want to be stuck in it but it doesn’t make for an interesting photo.
My crawl to work is absolutely lovely and infuriating. Nice photo! #mysundayphoto
