The Weekly Bubble and Squeak

I’ve been playing with the idea of doing some sort of weekly round up of stuff. Stuff that doesn’t really fit in well to its on blog post, or I’ve not had the time (or in the case of Avengers – emotional distance) to process something about it yet. Its name is going to be Bubble and Squeak, if you’re not sure what that means…

Bubble and squeak is a traditional British breakfast made from boiled potatoes and cabbage. In modern times it is a dish made with the shallow-fried leftover vegetables from a roast dinner.

What I’ve watched this week

Yes, Avengers Endgame.

And yes. It is THAT good. No spoilers here, but once you’ve watched it, it could be worth a trip to mashable for “11 moments in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ that attacked us personally“. (There are plenty of spoilers there)

Personally I reckon there are more than 11 moments.

Quote that’s messing with my head

Have you read something to find the words leap of the page, and you just can’t get them out of your head? I was reading Be More Pirate, and this lept at me.

“Good and evil both increase at compound interest. That is why the little decisions you and I make every day are of such infinite importance. The smallest good act today is the capture of a strategic point from which, a few months later, you may be able to go on to victories you never dreamed of.”

What I’m Listening to this week

I’ve just started listening to the latest podcast from The Creative Introvert. I’ve described the podcast before as having your own support worker in your ears. (Not as weird as I’m making it sound)

This one I’m listening to at the moment is Video for Creative Introverts, which is kinda a good one for me as I’m a lot more comfortable on one side of the camera than the other.

Greta Thunberg

You may have heard about a 16 year old girl, Greta Thunberg, getting some hate about what she has to say…

Here’s what she has to say. *
